Welcome to Bookish Fitness

So just over 1 week ago was my 10 year high school reunion and though it was good to see all of my old "friends" (none of my really close friends went, I kinda hung out with everyone I think) I realized just how overweight I have become.  I was overweight in school but not to this extreme.  I guess I just realized this is not what I want to be.

Here are some of my goals of this journey I will be staring:

1.  Start off walking 3 to 4 times a week for 30 minutes increasing the number of walks to 5 to 7 days each week (walking daily if possible) and increasing the length of the walk to 1 hour per walk.

2.  Find healthier food options, I love the food that is not healthy, greasy burgers, fried foods, pasta and pizza.  But I want to find ways to make some of my favorite foods healthier for me.

3.  Replace the soda's in my life.  They are addicting and not good at all (I saw this video of boiling a coke).


4.  Find myself.  This is another thing I realized at my reunion.  I have gone nowhere in my life, I just want to find out who I am, maybe get out of working retail.  Just discover new things about myself.

Overall these are just some of the things I want to do hopefully I master all of this.
